    Default Protopic Ointment

I just started applying Protopic Ointment to my lid margins in hopes that it reduces my blepharitis (if caused by atopic dermatitis). I've consulted with people on other forums who've done this with good success although there are a couple drawbacks - mainly that it causes redness for about a day after applying so you can only apply it every few days (which I've experienced) and there are concerns about Protopic causing cancer - although as far as I know this has not been proved conclusively. Anyone else try this treatment for ocular rosacea?

I've been using Protopic liberally every night for about 2 years. It helps the papules and pustules I suffer from with my severe rosacea. I've never heard any word of cancer tho.
