I know a few derms in the area. What are you looking for in a derm? I never found one that really understood rosacea but found a few that would work with me.

Looking for a derm who knows about Rosacea and how to use a laser. Currently making trips to Tennessee. Happy with Dr. Johnson, but my Rosacea is bad and I need a lot of treatments. This doctor appeared on a number of news segments about Rosacea and lasers- but I don't trust these. Would like to know if anybody had actual experience with him. I can drive to Philly and home.

For lasers, I went to Dr Zenda Garcia-Lat. She is located in Paramus, NJ, very close to Newark. She was trained by Dr Bitter. She used an older machine at the time, but this might have changed since (went to her 3 years ago). I never found a derm in the Philadelphia that knew enough about rosacea to make me comfortable. I went to many leading doctors/facilities (UPenn, etc) and always left dissatisfied. I learned to "treat" myself and go to Derms that would work with me by providing me meds desired (accutane, doxy, etc). I can provide some of those names if you wish.

Sorry it took so long for mr toget back to this section. Dr. Lat is about a mile from me. However you are the only person I know that has reported success with her. But thanks for the info anyway
