Default Best of wishes to Alba

Hey folks, just joined on and was excited to discover this website and to read this whole thread. i'm 30, have had Eurythma for about 7 or 8 years, had strong results for a short while with Tetracyclin, but stopped taking it when it stopped working.
Per this thread, i went out and bought some Afrin w/ moisturizer. Man, crazy results after a few hours, face was tingling and felt great. Tried it again the next day with even better results. Tried it a third day with great results. So i took a few days off and tried it again just once last week. I feel like it reddened my face even more for at first but after a few hours was looking great. I just saw my dermatologist the other day and she said what i suspected -only use it occassionally. Otherwise, she gave me some prescriptions for two things and was wondering if anyone had any info or results from them.
    Rosac Wash and Klavon Lotion.

Otherwise i recommend this sunblock by Aubrey Organics -natural sun spf 25 which has Green Tea in it. Other than that, i've been washing my face for about 5 or 6 years with Aquanil which is great as a soap or moisturizer. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Best of wishes to all.

    Hi thedude,

    Thanks for the good wishes.

How strange that me derm told me to use it every day, this was about 3 weeks ago and to see him in 2 months. You just wonder why different dermatologists have different opinions. After reading this entire thread I decided to only use it maybe on the weekend if i have a special day out. Last friday i bought the same afrin you bought the one with moisturizer. I did try it on saturday since i was having my hair colored and blowed out. usually i get very red specially my ears. i tried the afrin only on my ears but really didnt notice a difference. The other weekend when i used it i used it for 2 days in a row. I think it works if you use it more than once. then again who knows, rosecea is so weird. i have been on doxycycline for the past 3 weeks, I had to get off the accutane since I was having so many problems with the dry eyes. Eye doctor put me on doxycycline. I have noticed that my flushing is less not totally gone but less and when I flush I get over it quicker. But who knows if it’s the doxycycline or maybe the accutane that I took for the 3 months.

I haven’t tried the Rosac or Klavin. I hope you notice improvement, let us know how it goes. My daughter who is 24 also has rosacea, it appeared about 5 years ago. Its weird cause im very light skin but she is tan color. I was praying that she was tan color naturally that she wouldn’t get rosacea, no such luck! But thanks to God its not as bad as me, she doesn’t flush much, but she is having problems right on both cheeks by the nose, she has bumps, dryness and redness. So if this stuff works for you, I might tell her to go to the derm and ask for this stuff.

Good luck and may this stuff help you improve your condition.

Default Difference between Nasal spray and eyedrops

If I understand it right Oxymetazoline is the important active ingredient.

I find that ingredient in eyedrops and in nasal sprays. Who used nasal spray and who used eyedrops?

I think that nasal spray is maybe more aggressive, because of menthol. Maybe eyedrops are better for our skin.

What do u think? I didn't read every post, but from what I read, more users had problems with nasal sprays.

    Hi Felix,

You are absolutely right in that the eyedrops would be better for our skin but they are by Rx only. Hopefully the best product for our face will come out soon and be helpful to us.

    Best wishes,
    Melissa

    Hi All,

    F Y I

Past saturday I tried on my ears the afrin with moisturizer and it really didnt make a difference.

Then yesterday sunday i used the sinex and actually the menthol in it makes my ears feel a cooling effect and it did help alot with the flushing on my ears.

I dont use any of them on my face since when i did try the sinex i had bumps after, it felt irritating to my face but on my ears its fine.

    Hi All, F Y I

Yesterday I tried the sinex on my face and ears. It helped just a little on my ears but when i took my makeup off last night my cheeks were red and very irritated with bumps. I will definetely not try this on my face again.

There is a treatment in the works but we are not sure when it will be coming out and how it will work.

Maybe this will help explain it a bit.
