    Default Just got plugs

Well, I just had my eye plugs put in. It did not hurt at all, not even alot of pressure, they were in in seconds. Now, lets just hope they work. The Dr. said he does not see ocular rosacea, this is the second Dr. that has said this to me. He didnt even say I have bleph. He said the skin around your eyeball, meaning eyelids up to eyebrow have to do with skin so that would be dermatologist and that does not mean you have ocular rosacea when the skin on the outside of eyeball is bad. Anyway just thought I would give you an update and let you know how the plugs will go..Jenn

Thanks Ann. I hope it continues because I have not had to put drops in as of yet and he only did the two eyes bottom puctums. If I want more tears he will put them in the top. Last evening I had to go for a CT scan also and while I was laying flat down my eyes filled up with tears. I could not believe it, I have not had that in a year. I can feel the tears on the corners of my eye also. I woke up this morning with no dryness and put no gel or drops in before bed. It is to early to tell if they will irritate me but so far so good.

    That's good news Jenn.
It wouldn't hurt to put drops in before bedtime and occasionally throughout the day if you need to. The plugs will just enhance the effects of the drops.

    Best wishes,

Yeah, I was wondering if I should. The Dr. said I can still use them, but really I havent had to, but hey the more the better.

I still do not understand how I dont have ocular rosacea. I mean sometimes the white of my eyes go red, not a blood red but pink, but I didnt have that at time of appt. but I did tell him and he was like, I really do not feel you have it. Who knows maybe the redness was just from the dry eye..Jenn
