    Default Make-up solution

    Hello everyone!

I'm new here but would like to share with you a solution I found.
First of all, my treatment consists only of Metrocream once a day-my rosacea is mild. Nevertheless, I have the sub-type with which appears pimples from time to time. And of course my skin is very sensitive and red.
I now use a line of products called CoverFX. It's especially designed for problem skin (rosacea inlcuded), it's non comedogenic, without oil, there is a variety of shades available.

Moreover, there is sun protection (a total sun-block) in the product and you don't need to reapply it during the day. You can also choose from a range of coverages, from light to complete, and it looks very natural.

I know the best thing would be to cure the problem but since it's not yet possible, this is a great way to deal with it.

I'm not a salesperson fot them, just wanted to share a trick with you to help you cope with the problem.

That is good to know. I'm trying to figure out what I can and cannot use on my face (just dxd with rosacea this week). I'm not a person who likes to go without make-up! I just want to be sure what I use is good for my skin and won't do further damage. I'll check out the product you mentioned. Thanks!

I'm so glad you've found something you love! It makes a world of difference in our confidence levels if we leave the house feeling "normal". I've had great luck with Bare Minerals. I use their Bisque as coverup for the reddest areas---sometimes that means my entire face---and to dot on individual blemishes ( a LOT of them, usually). Then I follow up with a foundation with a yellow tone to cut down on the redness. I have light to medium skin and I use the Fairly Light in the winter and the Medium in the summer. Then some Mineral Veil to set it, and I'm done. It takes about 5 minutes and my complexion looks WAY better! Plus it lasts all day with just an occasional sweep of Mineral Veil to re-set it. I LOVE Bare Minerals and the fact that I can adjust the amount of coverage so easily. The secret is their Kabuki brush for great coverage.
I switched to BM about 4 years ago and it has made a HUGE difference in my skin.

Christine, I had been using BM for a while and was afraid I was "allergic" so I stopped using it. That was before the dx of rosacea. I put on some liquid foundation today and it looks good on my face, but my neck is so red it looks weird. I was wishing I had some of the Bare Minerals to brush on! I will probably order some more since I now know it was rosacea and not an allergy to the minerals. That way, I can sweep it across my neck and my face and neck will actually match! I always feel much better when I wear make-up. I feel like a 'whole' person when I know I look good and don't have to be self-conscious about presenting my face in public. Thanks for the tip regarding Bare Minerals.

I have used Color Me Beautiful liquid foundation for over 20 years. The main ingredient is Aloe Vera and calms my skin down right away. It is for oily or sensitive skin. So if you like Aloe Vera gel, this might work for you. I use the Sepia Beige, but there are about 8 different shades to choose from. I don't use powder and it lasts all day without touch up.
