Default Holycow!! It's part of my cure ....

Thank-you everybody for sharing your views and suggestions. This is my first post ever:you've inspired me in so many ways I hope to return the same. Please forgive my ranting and raving because I feel this rosacea thing is debilitating and painful too.The uncontrolable hot and prickly flushing, nose swelling, large pores, flaky/oily skin, itchy sticky sore eye styes, runny nose, frequent bladder trips, colicky cramps, edema , constipation, etc. So I'd be willing to lose a limb for healthy skin;it's all relative. Until the age of nine I had radiant skin. The acne/rosacea kicked in about a month of eating 2 bags of chips (transfats/poison) everyday after school. I was denied junkfood at home and I was so addicted to the taste(msg). It was also about the same time I got about 8 amalgam(mercury) fillings. So for the past 30 years I've been at war with depression and bad skin. At age 13, I tried tetracycline(Dermatologist diagnosed rosacea and declined accutane)for about a month but the side-effects without a garantee were enough to put me off. After highschool(Hell), I worked in healthfood/vitamine retail for 5yrs. so I spent a fortune on lotions and potions but to no avail. So then I tried vegetarianism to vegan for the next 5yrs. while working as a sous chef at 2 different restaurants. During that phase my skin cleared up a lot but my energy was so depleted(diagnosed anemic). I then learned that I'm a blood type O (basically a meateater) so back to meat(Hallelluya). Now 5yrs. later I've gained some strength and a little bit of knowledge." Hindsight is 20/20". I believe from my own experience that a healthy lifestyle is the cure to this and most diseases.
    Human control = nutriton deprivation+drugs/$$$$$
Science-nonfiction or paranoia (blame it on the mercury): For the past 50 yrs. it seems as though our food supply has been under siege to the utmost degree. What with overprocessing, additives, preservatives, pesticides, transfats, irradiation, colorings, msg, factory farming, etc. It's no wonder we're sick and tired. Now primed for pharmaceutics....it's a vicious downward cycle...ENOUGH!! They say they are protecting us while depriving us of our basic human needs. Democracy gone awry, was meant to be based on humanity before capitalism. We need to take back our control and believe in our own intuition and listen to our own bodies more then ever. We still fall for the "snake oil salesman"(Hehh maybe that's our cure ). Together we can move mountains and bring back our God given gifts through our personal choices: our bodies thrive when given nutrition over any manmade pill ever. "Let food be thy medicine" is so true albeit the kind before it was violated. Our face is a reflection of an angry congested liver and transfats, processed foods, stress and alcohol will exasperate it. We don't know how good we had it until we've lost it :maybe it's our journey to bring back "Eden" and now we've come full circle to realise that God loves us and is happy when we appreciate our gifts.
One of those gifts is the grassfedcow. The cow is naturally a grazer(grasseater),it has 2 stomachs to convert the chlorophyll (sunlight) into omega 3 (a highly concentrated and absorbable form). It is one of the most healing and energizing foods known to humans. Wildfish are like "cows of the sea" they convert algea into omega 3,as we cannot digest these greens as easily. When these animals are fed properly they do not need antibiotics or hormones. They are God's gifts and need to be treated with respect as they give back to our planet more then we could ever repay. And they don't ask for much.
Today as you know, most cows are treated inhumanely(factoryfarmed/ /grainfed). When I eat fast food burgers minus the bun(7mths.gluten free) I get flushed and breakout not to mention feel nausea and tired. Whereas when I eat grassfed I feel more alive then ever and my skin glows/sweats too (no exageration). It's only been a month now and I'd say my flushings have severely decreased as well as the other symptoms... Be your own judge. My parents live out in the country and have found a few local farmers who sell them fresh eggs(non-irradiated/fertile/enzymes) and grassfed beef . Fortunately when they visit me in the city,I benefit too.
Thank God our bodies are extremely resilient and always healing especially when we work with our immune system. we still have choices...as hard as it is to find ....but our vote counts everytime we purchase(what we buy keeps them alive). Knowledge will empower us to make wiser choices for a better quality life.
Please excuse my preachyness: I'm just a little bit passionate perhaps it's my french. I have so much more to share but I've taken enough of your time (I'm tired now too). Looking forward to your input.
BTW...Jen(Redhotoz) is a Godsend and an encyclopedia of knowledge too. (No she's not a relative) I just needed to pay my respect.[/b]
God Bless everyone and our local independant farmers.
    Be wise,be stong,be you...together we'll find the light...to health,happiness and peace.

Hi Cherbear and welcome to the Forum.

I assure you that I am not an encyclopaedia of knowledge. Just here to read and learn like everyone else.

I do agree that eating as natural as possible does wonders for the control of the Rosacea beast and to help keep other possible health ailments in check.

Your post does make sense but you are right...it does sound like a bit of a sermon. Brady has likened discussions of diet to religion before and I have come across 'non-believers' many times. So, I backed off, so as not to offend. Just because I have had good overall results from the natural healing diet I have been trying, I guess it doesn't mean everyone will. Ah, but then, you never know until you give it a go, huh! Won't cost big bucks, just a change in eating habits. Mmm!

Ok, I'm on holidays and so need sleep for a big day of fun tomorrow.

Will check back on this thread when I check in to the computer again.

I'm sorry, but your message is so long and a little bit rambling and preachy. I didn't even read it all the way through. Sorry. I am glad you found something that has worked for you. Many of us have given a good try to diet and other things and have had no real changes/results. We are all glad for ANYTHING that helps an individual. Glad that you have joined us!

    cherber,
so do you eat all types of meat, as long as they are raised organically and/or without antibiotics, etc.
