Hi Everyone, I've not posted in many months. Been trying to learn to live with my Rosacea and Seb Derm without "living it" if you know what I mean. But this past week I deveoped some new strange problems that I have never seen mentioned here on this board. My Seb Derm has been in a flare in the usual places, around my nose, and my eyebrows. Out of no where I woke with these sores that started out looking like blisters, both on my eyelids and around my bottom lashes. They itched, became raised, flakey and burned and hurt to the touch. They seemed to increase in number and size quickly, and of course couldn't get into see a derm in any reasonable amount of time, so I decided to treat them like I do the Seb Derm and washed them with Nizoral shampoo for several mornings. They seem to be drying up, don't seem to be spreading or progressing anymore, but they are still very visable, red, scaley, and still somewhat raised. I couldn't see the derm, so I settled for the Physicians Asst. and she said she thought the sores were Rosacea and not Seb Derm, and gave me Doxy twice a day and gave me a script for a compound topical cream of some sort of fungal Nizoral to be mixed with hydrocortisone. I objected to the cortisone part of the mixture, but she assured me it would not hurt me to use it for 5-7 days.
Has anyone here ever had any kind of sores like I described on their eyelids or eye area? I do not have much of the P&P's mostly suffer from ongoing daily flushing. And does anyone has an opinion about the combo anti-fungal/cortisone she wants me to use on my eyes? (by the way, the cream clearly says on the package "DO NOT use near eye area". I started taking the doxy, but I really have a bad feeling about this cream she gave me. Any feedback would be so appriciated. Roxanne
