    Default Opening a day spa...need name ideas...HELP >>

I'm a licensed esthetician and I am opening a day spa that will offer facials, body treatments, and massage. I have been racking my brain for names, but it seems all the good ones are taken. Can you throw some suggestions my way?

Just to get an idea, ones that are already taken and I CAN'T use:
    Glow Day spa
    Spa Radiance
    Bliss
    Splash
    Renew Day Spa
    Refresh Day Spa
    Escape Day Spa

What about Cypress Moon Spa or Serenity Spa?

Don't have my creative juices flowing right now but congrats on starting your own business! I wish you every success! Took me forever to come up with a name for my business and I'm still not sure that it's the best name but so many are already taken!

Maybe head to your Thesaurus (or use Word if you don't own one) and look for similar words?

Break a leg! (or is that only when you are about to go on stage?) LOL

While I was in Mexico, I went to a night club called, "Night Club". "Night Club" was probably the best name I've ever heard for a night club. Original, titilating and classy.

In keeping with this precedent, you could name your day spa, "Day Spa". Or better yet, "Best Day Spa". Or you could give it a distinctly chinese flavour and call it, "100% Guarantee Day Spa" (I'm chinese so for some nebulous reason I get to say things like this). Yes, "100% Guarantee Day Spa" is definately the best.

I seem to be making up in Ben-Stiller-humour what I lack in good ideas. But here is my 2 cents if you want it. I wouldn't name a spa something like "Splash" or "Serenity" or any other name that seems to be selected from the "If you open a Spa, this is what you must name it" handbook. It's just way too unremarkable. Think of something with a little humour and charm that invokes more than a non-plussed response from your audience. Because it's only going to be one word, I think that this means you will have to name your spa something that one wouldn't normally think of as a "spa name", but that strangely works in a charming way.

    Good luck.

What about the idea of an oasis? Something that suggests an island of calm in a busy world. Maybe "Urban Oasis".

This was suggested to me by a friend when talking about your new business today and I thought it was a brilliant name!

Thanks for all the suggestions and kind words. I've actually decided on a name and I'm filing the paperwork this afternoon.

I chose the name: Pure: A Day Spa

    Thanks again!
