I could have written this thread. Even the hair thing and dry wrinkly skin! I'm 38 now but still why do doctors ignore everything!
If it was a member of their family suffering so badly I am...
Thanks Dosia.
It's ok though, I have become used to being ignored, probably why I have given up. I can no longer fight all these things. I'm too tired.
Hope you all find an answer.
Best.
This is so hard to deal with :(
Any amount of sun even a minute and my left cheek lights up and is painful.
How can I live like this, it is always red now and hurts, I don't think I can take...
Lately on my most affected cheek in the same area that burns I have been getting chills which is concerning me. I doesn't feel cold to the touch but I have a sensation of a chill/cold!
Is this...
Hi Starlite,
I take both Citalopram and Diazepam (when needed).
I know they can cause this but after just seconds of sun? Seems strange.
My skin has become so sensitive, even a brief bit of sun stings and burns my skin on face and scalp!
Why is this? Does anyone else get this? Obviously it is making me more and more fearful of the...
Hi all,
I flushed quite badly this evening and having looked closely within the red area on my bad cheek I seem to have lots of small white dots, almost normal skin colour within the redness, they...
I'm in Cardiff.
I actually don't get believed that it burns, itches, stings etc as it doesn't appear that red apparently!
I am at the end of my rope. Nobody including doctors will help ;(
Hi all,
Why do people not understand this f****** condition! They just say 'oh your cheeks just a bit red, it's nothing'! Ignore it, it'll go, don't get stressed etc
They have no understanding...
Nobody else? :(
Hi all,
My skin is very strange, it looks bumpy, uneven, pimply etc but feels smooth to the touch! Most seem to say their skin is rough to the touch etc.
I am confused by this, any one elses...
Mine is combination, oily t zone but not as oily as it used to be.
When I put cream on at night, the following morning my cheeks are dry again and my nose and forehead are gleaming!
Hi Golden,
I got the simply sensitive SPF moisturiser, only just tried it, seems ok only issue is it leaves a bit of a white cast initially but should be ok :)
I got the gel facewash to try as...
Does anyone else have a problem with the feeling of face creams on the skin? I really hate the feeling, always feels like I've got a sticky mask on, they also all seem to make redness appear worse...
How often do you bath or shower?
Just wondering from the point of view of removing natural skin oils.
Hi,
I can sympathise, the weather in the UK seems to have been cold and relatively windy for about 4 months now. It has destroyed my skin again even though I do avoid going out in it too much. I...
Hi all,
I have read a lot of posts etc regarding demodex and I was wondering -
Many people mention the itching and crawling especially at night, would sleeping with the lights on prevent this...
Hi Golden :)
Thanks for the info, I just had a look, will probably try the moisturiser, how thick is it as I don't get on with overly thick moisturisers?
I am using dermol 500, it doesn't burn...
Also, when you look at a bald head they are very rarely red and crusty, skin looks clear from my observations so I'm really not sure!
I'm not sure. I thought it mostly affected the top because that part of the scalp is more oily/warm as the heat dissipates through the top of our heads. I could be wrong though!
Lots of scalp SD...
I have a cleanser/moisturiser with this as an ingredient given to me by my derm.
Does anyone know if it clogs pores? I'm pretty sure it is giving me blackheads around my t zone and cloggy skin,...
Thanks for the reply.
I don't have it all over, seems to be in patches that get red and inflamed. The cold weather at the moment is making it much worse I think.
Does yours ease in the summer?...
Does anyone with seb derm on the scalp find that for days after a haircut their scalp is terribly sore?
I am guessing it is from the comb disturbing to delicate skin.
