A few years back the cretins were tampering with olive oil, now it's honey...

If you live in the US, enter your zip code here to find apiaries/beekeepers in your area.

If you live overseas, try contacting the National Association of Beekeepers in your country. Ask around in your area, there are beekeepers in every town. A relative or a friend of a friend may know someone who keeps bees in his/her backyard. Go to a farmers' market, open air market or bazaar; someone there will help you find good local raw honey.

Hello everybody,
I'm 25 and have had what i think is sub derm for a few years but this is the worst it's ever been.
It's leathery, it burns, itches, very red blotches all over my face and neck, and yellowish buildup in my scalp.
I've lost my job recently and i do not even want to leave my house to find another one with this on my face and neck.
People have asked if i've had a bad sunburn or bad poison ivy. My friends are mad at me because
I don't want to hangout with them. I would like to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to Auburn for your honey mask tutorial.
I've been on it for 9 days and my sub derm has gotten a little worse which is expected but is really testing my patience.
My neck especially has been burning/itching so bad that i put aloe vera cream on it during the day which helps.

I apply pure coconut oil every 12hrs in addition to the 3hr honey mask every other day. The honey mask feels so soothing and
tingling but my skin was VERY red last night after i took off the honey with tap water. Thankfully in the morning it had subsided
a little but still was the normal ugly annoying reddish pink.

The honey feels like it's working so well when it's on, i am thinking of washing my face with it day and night also like i've read
others have done on here. If i do this should i stop using coconut oil? or apply the oil after i wash my face with honey morning and night?

I really hope this all works. I want a normal life and face again, all i think about is my ugly face and neck has become.

I attached a picture of my neck and face but the sub derm doesn't really show up well on my iphone camera.
Trust me, it's looks a hundred times worse in person. I HATE this fungus

Hey guys, this is something I've always wondered. I know most flushes for most Rosacea sufferers are located on the cheeks. Sometimes people get the same reaction on their necks and sometimes even chests.

My question is, how many of you suffer from very hot and very red ears when you flush? For me, the ears don't always flush when my face does. Sometimes they flush by themselves, sometimes they flush with my cheeks.

Also, does anyone else get flushed hands? My hands will oftentimes be very, very red. This happens most often when physical activity sets off my flushes.

Thanks guys!

Hello everyone,my name is Darren, 34,from Ireland and I've been lurking about here for a while but decided to make it offical!I've had rosacea now for I think 5 years or so. The classic red cheeks, and sides of the head, its also now creeping over my forehead slowly but surely, and a wee bit on my neck.I've been to the Dermatologist a few times but he's basically ran out of ideas now for me,so i've been taking matters into my own hands this past while. I have the pastules and postules as well which makes it even more annoying, all in all a lovely bundle!;)

My regime at the moment is Finacea once a day,the antibiotic tetralysal once a day, and for moisturising I use Vaseline intensive moisture body lotion on my face,(it seems good for dry skin)the derm also gave me a face wash which is used for itchy skin conditions called Dermal 500 lotion. I would be grateful if anyone has any comments on this plethora of attacks, I also use a rimmel hide the blemish stick to try and bring the red areas back into the arms of humanity again! I'm looking to switch up my routine a bit and have been looking at 2 options to try,the first is the blue sage organic range, which seems to have had good reports, and the second which I think i'll try first is the hope relief cream and the soap bar. I've been on the antibiotic now for 8 weeks or so,so i think i'll keep using it for another 8,and the Finacea has been the only thing that helped with the bumps, but has done nothing for the permanent redness unfortunetly. Sorry for the long intro, but its been under my skin for some time haha!;)

Hello guys,

I've been having this condition for 7-8 years already, no mediciation really works except antibiotics (amoxyciline) but it just limits the number of pustules and everything comes back few days after i finish the antibiotic course. I was on Accutane for 7months it did nothing positive for me, except my face started to turn red and those pustules moved from only beard area to lips and nose. The culture lab tests returned nothing special (did them 4 times) - just the standard s. epidermidis that everyone has. I was tested for food allergy - nothing came out. From other tests though i know 'm allergic to dust but my doctor said it has nothing to do with the pustules. Anyway i met like 50 derm. doctors already everybody finally gives up after some time :( Ok enough talking here is the photo of my beard: (p.s no matter what topical cream will i use nothing works, and my skin just feel more and more itchy and painful). Is there any doctor here that can help me, of course i can pay. Cry:

Hi,

I was lucky enough to recieve a cancellation appointment today, otherwise I would of been on a waiting list till April! The Dr gave me a script for Rozez gel, & a script for Clonidine. He has advised me to give these a try and avoid some of the things that aggravate flushing including toners and spicy foods etc. He wants to see me in 6 weeks time & to discuss IPL if things haven't somewhat settled. I am flushing and burning 24 hours a day, its really awful, though I know most of you know what that is like!

I am also going to place an order for the translucent Zinco as I've read good things about it on this forum. I've also started Vitamin D3 on the weekend, and also a hypoallergenic diet. No changes to report yet, but I'll stick to it and see how it goes for a while, & adjust my diet accordingly on how much worse I flush.

I would love to hear some feedback on IPL & recovery times, also I am interested in the Red Lamp for flushing? Is there a recommended standard one that is good for the flushing?

Thanks
