I read a book about supplement's healing properties. People with seb derm are encouraged to apply borage oil and tea tree oil topically to affected areas. They should also take zinc gluconate orally. Has anyone benefitted from GLA, TEA TREA OIL or ZINC for their seborrha?

Which book was it? My skin does look better when I'm taking supplements. I take Source Naturals Skin supplements; which have Zinc in them.

I know that a b-complex is key for seb derm. obviously a multi vitamin also.
yes flax and borage oils help(essential fatty acids)/fish oils
I also take zinc, vit e with selenium...
topically it is much harder to treat facial seb derm IF you have rosacea, and not aggravating the underlying rosacea. for scalp, shampoos with ketoconazole and zinc pyrithione really help me.
my seb derm is also much controlled with SUNLIGHT(inhibits the growth of the aggravating yeast p.ovale), yes in only small amounts and yes with ZincO sunscreen on, so to not aggravate the rosacea.

I use Jason Natural Tea Tree Scalp Normalizing Shampoo for Dandruff/Seb Derm which I bought from Whole foods market. Its the best shampoo Ive used so far. All that coal tar stuff does more damage to your skin than helps. The Tea Tree oil shampoo is natural which means it doesnt contain Lauryl/Laureth Sulfates and no No Synthetic Fragrances.
They sell the Jason Tea Tree oil Shampoo on drugstore.com for $6 (which is a steal):
