Hello all,
Well I started to suspect my Rosacea about 2-3 weeks ago. I’ll tell you a little about myself and then tell you about my story. My name is Robert; I’m a 28 year old male from the United State in Minnesota. I have a great fiancée and 8 month old daughter (Ava). This all started when my daughter started to have skin issues and did not seem to feel well. My daughter had bright pink cheeks and what look like little pimples that were spreading fro her cheek to her arms, back, and legs. At about this time I also had bright pink cheeks that had not gone away for days.
We brought Ava to the doctor and the doctor told us our daughter had 5th disease. When I asked about my cheeks the doctor said that I probably had it to. They said my daughter probably caught it from Day Care and because I didn’t have it as a child I was not immune to it and caught it from my daughter. I was told that my body would get rid of it and that it would go away in 4 weeks.
Well 4 weeks, then 8 weeks went by and I still have pink cheeks. We are not sure if our daughter does because her cheeks flush on and off all day, but my cheeks stay flushed the same all day. I started to get what looked like acne on my cheeks so I started researching the internet and got scared because I with the sign and symptoms I’ve been having over the last 2 months I could have anything from Eczema, Seborrhea Dermatitis, heat rash, some kind of rash cause by a virus, or the rash could be a sign of something more serious like Cancer, Leukemia, Lupus, HIV, Parkinson's disease, etc etc etc.
I went back and to the doctor again and the doctor asked me a few questions looked at my face under the light and said he had a pretty good idea about what I had. The doctor told me I had Rosacea. The doctor then gave me a booklet about Rosacea and a prescription for Metrogel.
Now I’m here after being on the Internet researching Rosacea for 3 days. I’m going to post my picture in the photo section. I’d let for you folks to take a look and tell me what you think about the state of my Rosacea.
