We are seeing real problems, someone continues to lock topics, it could be that soon we will no longer find any section where we can post because the topics are locked for 24hrs, its like some childish game.
Why cannot we have a decent open forum where we can post without these interruptions.
Why are we being being treat in this way.
I understand that some people like to wield power, but this is not pleasant.
I am aware that I risk being locked out or banned by posting this, however one has to have the courage of ones convictions and take a stand!!
It is becoming an unpleasant experience, and I really liked this forum.

You won't be banned or locked out for expressing an opinion. Have a little faith that the moderators and admins are not Stalinists.
Threads are locked to allow people to cool down a bit and re-think what they want to say regarding a given topic. We try to keep things constructive here and avoid blow-ups when a thread's tone begins to waver from the topic at hand toward personal tit-for-tats with other posters, among other reasons.
By all means, express how you feel. This is the forum to do this. The mods and admins are all just rosacea sufferers; there is no agenda here other than keeping the boards focused on rosacea and not sniping.
If you have a problem that you feel is not being addressed, please PM one of the admins or, failing that, a moderator.

I think certain threads should be locked or even deleted on sight. Seriously, if I see another of these stupid threads about Dr Nase, I swear I'll ban you all!!!
Marpusbean (nice name btw  ),
There really is nothing left to say regarding that debate. But yet some people continue to start threads about it, which inevitably end up in silly bickering. I dont blame the mods for sacking these threads one bit.
Dr Nase doesnt even post here anymore! So why the hell do these guys want to continue debating his work / ethics?
Can we not just accent that there were problems, and that Geoffrey did the honourable thing and took a time out?
Jesus, its like watching some second rate soap around this place sometimes... :?

Bob,
I agree, it's like beating a dead horse. I locked the topics and will unlock it so whoever wants to beat on a dead horse can continue beating.

Yes it's the same stupid argument over and over again. For those who don't already know: Dr. Nase has left the building.
I don't automatically agree with everything he says or take his side in every dispute. And guess what? We are all free to think for ourselves. If a recommendation is made and it doesn't suit you then move the gun away from your head and don't do it.
These continuous unprovoked attacks just run themselves round in circles. I'm sure that's how we all want to spend the rest of our lives.

Yes Guys I understand, my problem is that I think the originator of the threads needs banning!!
Why? because he can interject his vitriolic posts into any thread, and as people start to reply the thread is locked, then he goes to another thread and starts again.
My worry was we then have too many threads blocked.
maybe the mods can think about this.
Remember the game is to find a perfectly innocent thread, and then suddenly we are discussing Geoffrey and the thread is ruined.
As I said on an earlier post it is so bad that if Geoffrey had not have been heard from for a year they would still be attacking him!!

Hi Marpusbean
The Mods can only work within the policy of the Forum. Please do read the policy here:
http://rosaceagroup.org/wiki/Forum_policies
If you feel that there needs to be some changes made to the policy, please do start a new thread in the Meta forum with your suggestions.
This is a public forum and all input is welcome. Mods (who are just fellow Rosaceans) and general members are in this together. Why? To try and find a way to control our Rosacea. Of course, what we all want is to find the cause and the cure! So working together, we may just be able to come a little closer to that! Well, that is what I am doing all this research for!

I think the mods are doing an excellent job.
