Just wanted to introduce my self:

My name is Carlos (Spanish- Italian) 33 years old - just recently began with redness in my face, and lots of flushing.
Went to the derm and prescribed 250MG Tetracycline 2 timer per day - Atarax 1 per day - and Lipocream twice per day.
Tomorrow is my next appointment, can someone tell me what would be the best prescriptions to attack the redness, flushing and minor acne.

I have stopped red wine and hot showers (big triggers) but still flush for no reason.
Also my ears are in a constant flush.

Do you consider laser treatment appropiate at the beggining of rosacea?

Note: Dr, Nase is great in this forum.

Thank you

Welcome Carlitos,
Some of the more popular prescriptions for rosacea are at this url >

Tetracycline, which you are taking is one of them. Doxycycline seems to be more popular. A significant number of rosaceans use IPL and a few report using laser. Whether to start at an early stage is up to you and your doctor. More on IPL >

Keep reading the posts in this forum, particularly the IPL and laser section.
