Hello,
i have been reading this forum for a couple of weeks and i am most impressed by the amount and quality of knowledge that is being exchanged.
I was finally diagnosed with Rosacea in Sept. after years of being diagnosed with everything else first (i am now 36 - probably have had it since 25 or so). I have used and abused steroids, sun and red wine. I suffer from permanent redness across my face and very itchy pustules in my beard area and forehead. I also have seb derm but still can't tell where that ends and where the Rosacea begins.
As soon as i was diagnosed, i jumped on the IPL bandwagon and, after 3 treatments, have had fairly good success with the redness. I am now a light shade of pink. I am going back for some more. However, the itchy bubble like pustules continue, especially in beard area and forehead. I am hesitant to go to accutane yet and hope to treat the P&Ps with diet, supplements and topicals if i can. I just received Cutanix and hope this will help. If not, perhaps i will try the Rosacea Ltd.
Anyway, i am glad to be part of this and i look forward to exchanging ideas if i can (Rosacea is still new to me).
cheers!

Welcome Eric, and it sounds like you are finding enough information to handle your rosacea. You really sound like an educated newbie to me and have done your homework. Keep reading.

Hello and welcome Eric. :)

Good decision to join this board. There are also some rosaceaboards in Germany, but in my opinion, frankly the informationlevel is very low...well in compare to this board. They might give comfort but I didn't learn anything new there, just he same old stuff every derm is telling.

Best wishes,
Barbara

thanks!
well, i have spent the past 3 months logging everything i read and i hear about re. Rosacea. I think i have developed an obsession. It's amazing how the mind works. I used to be red but didn't care. Suddenly, the diagnosis changed all this and i am now constantly obssessive over my looks, even though there were times in the past when i looked worse than i do today...i guess i need to learn to walk the fine line between acquiring knowledge about the disease and not letting it control my life...
all the best,
eric
