Make Up Brands

Hi all (put this on the topical board but didn't seem to get much attention; thanks for putting up with me!),

Like me, my mother has rosacea and has really started battling P&P. I need to find her a brand of make up (including cover up) that doesn't irritate her skin. She currently uses either prescriptives or lancome. Does anyone have recommendations?

As a side note, I just learned that her derm gave her a years worth of steroid treatment to battle her P&P, and she unknowingly applied this for a year. Stunning!

Hi Trey,

Many people (mostly with oilier complexions it seems) find that mineral makeup is wonderful. Bare Escentuals, Jane Iredale and Cory Cosmetics are three to look at.

My drier skin did not like mineral makeup unfortunately, but I have had success with Lycogel. (lycogel.com)

Your Mum will have to try different ones because, as you know, every rosacea skin is unique!
