I dont usually post but this is getting out of hand.

Without Dr Nase many of us would be still using the crap that our derms recommened waiting and watching as our skin gets worse with no light at the end of the tunnel

Dr Nase is one the few people out their that can actually give us hope in the form of great up-to-date information that can help combat this chronic desease.

I have had Rosacea for over 20 years now and until i read his book about 3 years ago and found out about the new inovations of IPL for rosacea my life was pure misery.

Due to Dr Nase i have had IPL txt which have significantly helped and am now on 10mg of accutane daily thanks to his many hundreds of posts and my skin has never been better.

This is all that matters results i dont care about all the other bullshit out there, i dont care if he has made any money out of rosaces in fact in hope he has, in my book if any body deserves too its him.

Agree, there is so much negative energy being used on these forums, and I do NOT like it! It's a shame that a few very selfish "idiots" choose to ruin the over all quality of these forums for everyone else..

Think before you post!

Chris

Hi Gerry,

I haven't been on these boards as long as many, but I've had rosacea for over half of my life. I've done just about everything there is, and I felt like ihad been saved when I found Dr. Nase's book. I read through it like it was a Bible for me. I carried it around with me and would read it whenever I got a chance. Took it to Dr.s Appointments with me and read int he lobby and when the Dr. was even in the room.

Dr. Nase HIGHLY recommends IPL for rosaca. You see that everywhere. he's said it specifically to me. I have Papulopustular Rosacea, BTW. I spent the $1500 and had it done. I was in far more pain and agony afterwards than I had ever been with my disease. I don't blame Dr. Nase. He did what he thought was right, and I did what I thought was right. Now, he's taking credit for my being on Accutane. No. I had another Dr. recommend it before even knowing about Dr. Nase, but I was very wary of it. Then I had my current Dr. recommend it when she saw my IPL wasn't going well. I then came here and asked many questions and read some of the information that was posted by Dr. Nase and others in my shoes. It was a collaborative effort among everyone here, not just Dr. Nase, that got me where I am now. I personally don't appreciate being told that someone is my savior when they aren't. I appreciate everything he has done and will do for rosacea, but I gotta draw the line somewhere.

God bless Dr. Nase for the incredible amount of research, help and advice he provides free of charge, who else comes close to him?? And Bless him even though he is an Eagles fan. -- And God bless Kelli, the accutane is working for her beautifully, and hopefully she'll have the wonderful complexion she dreams of in a few more months. Bless her even though she's a Cowboys fan. -- Can't we all just get along, this disease is hard enough to deal with, without having to read so much crap.

Didn't take very long.

Bye, Y'all. It's been great, and I'd love to stick around and help people who have my type of rosacea, and learn from others who don't, but my last name isn't Nase, and I don't [edited] or anyone else's.

I wish everyone here well. Those who have my email address, you're more than welcome to email me. I'll keep up with ya. :-)

But, I can't take this anymore. The overwhelming dictatorship on here is just too much.

It was moved (not deleted) to the Meta area. Please get YOUR facts straight.

You've deleted others that were far less than mine, so why would I suddenly go looking there for it?

Sorry to burst your bubble Kelli, but I didn't move it. There are other moderators here as well.

You are welcome to stay and you are welcome to leave. Everyone has that right.

Heck you are welcome to start your own forum.

We can just wait for when Dr. Nase gets his own forum up and running and then post there. I think he'll have complete control of membership. We can post here and at other boards, too. But after the ESFB forums re-opened and the same act started up again with the spamming/postwhoring, he chose not to post much, I think. I don't know what the entire conflict is about and I don't particularly care--I just want to focus on our common disease.

I'm looking forward to the new forum. It will be focused on clarity and collective help.

Hopefully whatever messes that have infected the assorted rosacea forums will be avoided there and we can just work together.

1,000% correct. Rosacea, rosacea and more rosacea. Messes will be cleaned up immediately and removed into the trashcan permanently. No fights, no rulebook 101 wars, no endless what shall I do fiascos. Done. Cleaned up. Move on. End of story. Very clear, understandable and fair.

I gave up my hard earned career for rosacea, became a consultant and rosacea specialist through my work and publications ....... now its time to bring it to fruition.

Thank you Geoffrey! This is exactly the reason that I no longer post on this or other forums (except of course this post, as I could not find an alternative way to get my message across).

For the love of god, would you all concentrate on discussing rosacea instead of embarrassing yourselves with all this mudslinging. Why do certain people feel the need to ruin it for everyone?

Kelli, in my opinion, your decision to never post on this forum again is a wise one. Afterall, I'm sure you witnessed Marc's cyberstalking antics directed towards myself for over a year, yet you voted to keep him on this forum if I remember correctly. A rather strange decision wouldn't you say considering how chaotic Marc's presence is and was, so perhaps it's best if you take a little time out to hopefully gain some perspective. I hope your son never has to put up with bullies and harassment when he grows up. Perhaps then you will understand why such people have no place in this world. As for a dictatorship, I'm not sure what you are implying. Your personal feelings (which you have complete control over) about Geoffrey and the other moderators has led you to feel this way, not a dictator. Take responsibility for your emotions.

I am so sick to death of people using this and other forums to vent their very personal frustrations (as I am shamefully doing at the moment) and to attack Geoffrey. When did this become acceptable behaviour? This is a public forum, not a zoo. Let's see how far you would have all gone without Geoffrey's wisdom and knowledge of rosacea.

Please stop this nonsense and if you don't wish to discuss rosacea, then perhaps it is best for the rosacea community to air your grievances elsewhere.

Perhaps you should all take a leaf out of Geoffrey's book and handle your emotions, actions and reactions with dignity and integrity. All I sense from certain obvious posters, is aggression, defensiveness and off topic remarks.

Many of us are waiting with anticipation for Geoffrey's forum to open, a place where we can at last feel free to discuss rosacea and only rosacea without fear or harassment.

Finally, keep it real guys and gals. Move on, let go and stop this ridiculous behaviour. All you are doing is creating more animosity at the expense of others and creating gigantic rifts amongst the rosacea community. We are all exhausted so let's see if we can get back on track, PLEASE.

Everyone, please feel free to have the last word as I will not intervene again. I'll see you on YOUR forum Geoffrey!

I will certainly see you there Maria. Ironically, its just these little fiascos and tempermental comments that are driving so many people to my sign up list, so maybe I should thank the few here that thrive on chaos and innuendos. The great thing about my forum is that if a few people are having a nasty day and want to take it out on board members, they have multiple other forums to take it out on.

Do you know how long the statement, [edited out] Approximately 0.3 seconds and the person that said that can say "Bu Bye". Very simple. Its not cute, its not cool, its not in, it certainly is not helpful and I doubt the small boy that you are raising would ever say that, even at his age. If you want off topic discussion then be my guest ...... someplace else. These outbursts and tempermental jabs keep the good people away and keep the good physicians away -- this is our own doing. While other forums invite scavenging of patients in an isolated area of plucking for $.

8 years of watching and participating in all these groups is a great way to learn from the positive points of each board and the negative points of each board. No one is perfect. If Im having a bad day, I'll shut my yap on my own board. It is just too easy to type in something in 10 seconds and hit send with regret; but you cannot come close on any medium to that of the Internet to learn more about rosacea in one day than in 50 dermatology visits.

Peace Out

Kelli
