although this forum looks quite peaceful, i've recently been told that this is just due to moderators jumping in on a rather frequent basis to delete bad stuff.
thanks for your efforts to keep this place worth discussing, really appreciate this - since at this time it's the only forum left (beside rs group, which has rather turned to some kind of advertisment place :( )

Max,
We really only want to have discussions about Rosacea.. and thats it. Other forums have fallen apart because of little or no moderation and we don't want that to happen here.

Max,
These guys are super-human, I am convinced! And Im also happy to say that Ed is performing equally as well on ESFB nowadays.
Its hard to believe that all these problems are stemming from just one person (no, not Marc).

I have voted for Pre Approval of All Posts for some time now since that is the one feature of yahoo groups that is superior to php. Otherwise, php is far superior in searching and organizing topics. What I am told by the php geeks who actually do all the php magic is that a beta version of pre approval of posts is available but isn't stable yet. I think in time php will have pre-approval of all posts which in the long run protects a forum from attacks. You have no idea how many posts were deleted this last weekend by only three individuals who violated the forum policy. Two moderators handled the entire weekend. I don't even know if we deleted them all but so far no one has reported any inappropriate posts yet. My rosaceans yahoo group never got hit with attacks because all posts are pre-approved and won't be allowed to go public. That is the safest way so far devised to protect a forum from attacks. A forum can sink rather quickly when a few individuals are inappropriate in their behavior. The ESFB Bismark went done very fast. I am sure Ed has had his hands full lately too. Ed just locked ESFB rosacea forum today.

Lol, yeah maybe I spoke to soon!
Actually though, I do stand by those words. Every time I reported problems he swooped in and sorted it out pronto. In the old forum he was none existent, I was happy to have him back and in good form.
Not sure I agree 100% with the lock down, but I have faith that the man is doing what he can.
