There seems to be a consensus among the moderators that we officially enact a temporary rule that we disallow any posts or references to the well known and publicised dispute between Dr Nase and a number of anonymous people. The dispute has been long-running and we feel will severely disrupt the forum.
We as moderators try to intervene as little as possible and usually only when a complaint is received but there has to be some balance to keep the forum on track. We welcome any discussion and suggestions below about this temporary rule from the rest of the members of the forum.
The is a link the the [[forum policies]] at the bottom of every page.

i agree that we've all had enough fighting. i think Dr. Nase should be allowed to get on with his life and career without people trying to drag him down.

Yes, I agree. Dr Nase has a web site, the Debunking Nase has a web site.. They can express themselves there and keep this Board for Rosacea issues. Thank you for suggesting this.

Please report any violations of this policy. You simply do this by clicking on the little button with a red exclamation mark just above the offending post near the top right of the post. Give a comment that you feel the moderators should look at why you think this needs atttention. Thanks.

Hi Brady! Yes, let's keep this entire forum to the subject at hand.
Rosacea in all its forms, healing...healing...and helping each other. This, I believe, is what this is ALL about.
Respect to all

Whilst I agree that keeping posts civil is a good thing, deciding that any one topic or any one person's activities are out of bounds will not make those issues go away. There is a danger that when one's head in the sand that issues of critical importance to rosacea sufferers do no get addressed.

David,
You have your moderators who you allow to pre-approve posts and make judgment calls on what you feel should be allowed to go public on r-s. I know that you have not approved some of my posts to r-s. We might not like how a rosacea group is moderated and no doubt this is why there have grown many off shoots of r-s and other rosacea groups like this one. The moderators basically set the tone of the whole group and definitely influence the spirit. You obviously have in the past been able to attract rosaceans to join your group. But what happened in the past several months has taken a toll on your r-s simply by the number of posts since June. Your total as of this date at r-s has been 2662 posts, steadily declining since June.
This group in the same time period has had 9830 posts with less than a tenth the number of members as yours. This steady decline of posts at r-s reflects the mess. We on the other hand have not allowed the mess to get into this forum. It has not been easy to do this. Posts have been deleted as fast as we see them. The growth of this forum is a reflection of what rosaceans want. They don't want the mess to be discussed here. Such a mess should be outside of this forum and the growth of this forum proves we are right in this decision.

You are more than welcome to allow these types of discussions to take place on Yahoo RS, but they will not happen here. And I suspect if they were allowed on your forum, one side would be favored over the other.
