In case some of you aren't on the distribution list...

All,

I am pleased to announce that we are in the final stages of review and
approval for an exciting grant. We can't say yet what the topic is, but we
are confident that our supporters will be delighted with the grant and the
new opportunities for discovery and pathways into rosacea that it will
open.

We are hopeful that we can announce the title within a fortnight. The
grant has already been through rigorous review, and should emerge from the
final reviews and processing shortly. We expect that all of the currently
available funds will go towards this grant.

I'd like to sincerely thank all of our supporters for their generosity, we
can all be proud of what we have achieved.

regards,
davidp.

Just jesting Fanta, so you can tell you're little yellow smiley men to calm themselves

I sincerely do hope that the RRF have some success this time. As rosaceans, we need all the help we can get. So anyone fighting our corner get the Bob Bear thumbs up.

Bob,
If the RRF ever receives 501 (c) (3) approval from the IRS, then the following year of its operation, we can read the FORM 990 that is submitted to the IRS to see how it spends its funding. I am sure it will have a much better record than the NRS and no doubt the medical advisory committee will advise the board of directors how to spend its money in a way that would at the very least used for some kind of rosacea research on what they would want, right? And surely the board of directors won't have a conflict of interest with the funding or the spending but the RRF has never published its conflict of interest policy, if they have one, nor its articles of incorporation. How are the board of directors chosen? Who knows? Right now they have three on the board of directors. Would they discuss how they can legally add another board member to the organization? Nothing on how it operates is published for the public to view. But I am confident that David Pascoe will do a much better job than Sam Huff and David has pledged a large percentage of the funding will be spent on rosacea research. There will be plenty of watchdogs on the RRF and we do hope the best for this newest non profit for rosacea.
