Your welcome Sandra. They cut out two meds due to space, so that will be in the next issue along with some cutting edge genetic stuff for inflammatory skin disorders. Collagenex is really onto something with their high dose second generation modified antibiotic. It does many more things than periostat and oracea like blocking nitric oxide synthase (inducible), VEGF, ICAM and angiogenesis. In fact, it is being used to destroy skin cancer by inhbiting all these factors and constricting vessels so that the cancerous cells and their high metabolic rate are not fed and die. I like this one a lot and so does Dr. Theobold.
