I've been subscribing to Life Extension a few years now and have never seen an article on rosacea before. Usually, it is all about cancer, heart disease, and aging with somewhat technical info on the latest studies using supplements. Just got the Sept. 2005 issue and was excited to see a 2-page article on rosacea. It was by a Hollywood, FL dermatologist. But it was mostly a description of symptoms. He said he uses topical antibiotics and, if severe, oral antibiotics. He said laser might be useful for eliminating broken blood vessels. Other than that, he suggested green tea lotion & claimed it made rosacea 70% better. He said "Avoid triggers" because rosacea has no cure. Sigh. I should have known better than to get my hopes up.

The magazine mentioned that a 90-minute anti-FDA special would be airing on PBS sometime this winter called "Prescription For Disaster". Should be interesting.

That's easy--because we've got rosacea, and they don't!

Sounds like an occasion for a letter to the editor, irishgenes.
