Hi Lars,
No you're not the only one from Denmark. Well I'm not actually from Denmark, I'm Scottish but I've lived here in DK for over 10 years now. :D
I have been diagnosed with roasacea and am looking into getting IPL at the nearest Ellipse clinic.

I'm still waiting for a brochure. And I'm dreading how much a treatment will actually cost. At the moment I'm on Roxithromycin (150mg daily) and Rozex topical gel and have had improvements.
How about you? Do you have rosacea and what treatments have you received?

Hi Elspeth!
Glad to hear from you :D
Right now I am on Roacutan/acutan 10mg. two times a week.
I have tried every day on 10mg. but my face got more red by that.
I've considered the Ellipse clinic too.
But I have to wait a least 6 months after taking acutan before i can try that.
I've also tried Rozex topical cream and it did work the first month or so, but after that it didn't any more
And i tried some antibiotics (can't remember the name) it didn't work
Let me know how it goes with the Ellipse clinic, i'd like to know if it works - hopefully it does :!: :!: :!:

Hi guys, I once posted this to Dr. Nase, might be interesting to you as well.

Free versus non-free treatments with laser and intense pulsed light in dermatology
Ugeskr Læger 2005;167(43):4091-4094
Lasers and light sources are increasingly used in dermatology. Due to the limited financial resources of the public health care system, the Danish Dermatological Society has developed recommendations for distinguishing medical laser treatments to be provided free of charge from cosmetic self-payment treatments. Several considerations underlie the recommendations: present legislation; the diagnosis, ethiology, severity, and anatomical location of the disease; and the availability of evidence-based treatments. It is suggested that the recommendations constitute the basis for referring patients to dermatological treatment involving laser and intense pulsed light in Denmark.

There will be one more rosacea person in Denmark ;]] I'm an exchange student in Copenhagen university in fall 2008 semester. But looks like treatment with IPL and etc. in denmark is much more expensive than in my home country...
Lars, still alive?
