I think she is better than all those *please no profanity* derms in Turkey. The last derm I have seen in Turkey was Dr. Bitter trained and had performed IPL in her office. However she told me that my case is not rosacea but seb derm. It's obvious that the redness is caused my dilating facial vessels. OMG! How cant she distinguish btw. inflammed skin and dilation of blood vessels? She performs IPL

if your skin doesnt peel then it probably aint seb derm. Does your redness get triggered by sebum?

My skin does flake but very rarely. I dont have redness on the sides of my nose(butterfly area). But my skin seems to get redder with excess oil. I bleieve that I have both conditions. I just wanna make sure I am an appropriate candidate for laser. The IPL practioner told me that I wasnt!!! She didnt even look at the redness by a magnifier but concentrated on the oily and flaky skin on my forehead.

I dont get why you are so afraid of accutane, many 15 years old take like 80 mg daily for 4-8 months (2 courses of high dosage accutane), you should just take like 4-10 mg daily for 9 months..why are you so afraid of this? there isnt 20% chance of failure with very low dose accutane..either you tolerate it or it irritates you a little bit..its not like one major irritation, it doesnt irritate in this manner cause it has some potent and beneficial anti-inflammatory action along with the irritation. You just have to stop pushing things if you see things going in the wrong direction. You start with 10 mg 3 times a week, then after some weeks you may try 10 mg 2 times a week if you experience some irritation or excessive dryness. I know for a fact that the side effects from low dose isotretinoin are water compared to rosacea.
Its not nice getting too dry epidermis, but its worse getting both your epidermis, dermis, nerves and cornea damaged from inflammation associated with rosacea.
