It looks like the Lumenis One has made its way to New Zealand and is being used by the Vein and Skin Clinic (http://www.veinandskin.co.nz/) in Wellington. This is good news because many clinics in New Zealand have been using the Fotofacial RF (mine does) which Dr. Nase says is inferior to the Lumenis One when it comes to treating rosacea.
On June 20th, 2005, Lumenis said in a press release (http://www.aesthetic.lumenis.com/wt/content/pr_1119232468) that they hit a milestone of 500 sales of the Lumenis One in the Asia Pacific region. This is really good news for those of us in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. Let's just hope that the superior training and protocols accompany the technology.

I've made some calls and haven't been able to find anyone using Lumenis One in Australia at all as yet. If anyone does come across this, please post here about it.

Hi Warren, I too live in Christchurch, and yes all the derms here are absolutely useless I think. Have you had any luck with anything lately?I know that KM Dermatology have a new Lumenis one machine which I have checked out. I think possibly this could be good. Please let me know what you know. Thanks

I haven't had a problem with rosacea for a few years now. I wouldn't say cured but I haven't had to do any active treatments in a while. Rosacea does not control my life any more but it did toake a heavy toll.
The best I had was Fotofacial RF at the place on Manderville St (forgot the name). It looks like the Lumenis One would be better so I don't think I can help you as there are better places now than what I used in the past.

Has anyone had any experience with being treated for rosacea at
'The Appearance Institute' in Parnell, Auckland?
Supposedly they have a Lumenis one.
I don't know anything about their experience nor understanding of Rosacea though. I am currently looking for an experienced doctor with such a machine in NZ or Brisbane, Australia.
Thanks!
