At 20 years old, my cystic acne will not give up and my rosacea continues to progress. All I want to do is help stop and prevent it from continuing, and then hopefully reverse some of the scarring. These conditions contadict each other when it comes to trearment and accutane does not work for me because of my terrible dry eye, even at the lowest dosages. What can I do? Should I take clarithromycin? Will this affect my laser treatment in the future? When I got two IPL's a year ago from a bad practitioner, I broke out a lot. I'm on 100 mg doxycycline now to help with my dry eye, but I was using it back when i was in 8th grade, it just doesn't work as well as it used to. I've been on all the cyclines and even cefadroxil, which helped a lot until my body started to build resistance to that as well, always the same story..something works for a while and then doesn't. My oil production is ridiculous and I have hundreds of blackheads that are inches long when removed. On top of this, I have the lovely rosacea problem so I can't treat the acne topically anymore with harsh acne medications, I need something internal. I just hope I outgrow this so I can just battle the rosacea. Do you think I still have a chance or I don't because I just have overreactive sebacious glands that won't give in? I need a solution, anybody? Please help. Thanks, means a lot. -Chris

I suggest you try my regimen. I noticed that no one bothered to respond to your request for over two weeks. I have found this regimen to work for me:

Hi,

Have you considered Photodynamic therapy (PDT) with IPL? Do a google search for this to learn more. You can also use "Levulan" in your search.

PDT or Levulan with IPL claims to really help with cystic acne and rosacea. It may be worth considering or consulting a (good!) specialist about.
