Hi Dr Nase,

My derm prescribed Cyclimycin-100 mg, which I've been taking for the past two weeks. However, today I developed a skin rash on my thighs - could be uticeria (sorry, don't know spelling). My skin has raised 'itchy bites' and red patches.

Could I develop an allergy to this anti-biotic two weeks into taking it? And do you think I should stop it and not take it tonight?

Lisa,

Yes, I would stop immediately -- delayed uticarial responses are common. Then they can test you very easily to see if it was the culprit.
