I tried it, too, but only for a week as it started to give me diarrhea. It was not doing anything good for the time I took it.

Thanks for the response. :) I think I'm going to try it, but first I have to get a new doctor. 8)
I've read some studies with oral metronidazole, and, as most studies done on people with rosacea, they "have a significant effect in the treatment of rosacea, blablabalbal". Same with isotretinoin, and all other available possible treatments. Why does it cure the patians in the study, but not us? Or does it really cure them? Are the doctors in the study dumb? Are we dumb?
Excuse me, I just get a little frustrated sometimes.

What you have to realize in western medicine is that everything is based around money. Therefore, these so-called "studies" are heavily influenced by the manufacturer of the drug they are testing. Galderma, producer of metrogel, pays these doctors to give positive reports about the effectiveness of the drug.

Are the doctors in the study dumb?
Yes, some of the doctors who do these studies are dumb. I read about a study to see if Vitamins B6 and B12 would reduce homocysteine and thus help prevent heart attacks. Life Extension Magazine reported that these doctors apparently didn't know the difference between mcg and mg. They used 200 mcg of B6 and 6 mcg of B12. Some of the study subjects developed deficiency disease and had to be removed from the study!
On the other hand, maybe some drug company was paying them to get bad results on the vitamins and hoping nobody would notice that they were only using mcg. If they could get newspaper headlines of "Killer Vitamins!" like they did with the recent bogus Vitamin E scare, they would be very happy.
