Hello to fellow Rosaceans. Just joined yesterday. I have had rosacea since I was in my teens. Was given cortisone treatment then and it thinned my skin. I am 50 years old now and have always had problems with sensitivity, flusing and red cheeks with broken veins. Over the last year the nasty spots have appeared with it now in my eyes. I find that diet definitely makes a difference. I am now using Rosex from Galderma. It makes a difference to the spots but the Rosaderm cream from DeraMed is very soothing. It is so nice to be able to use something which has not been tested on animals and has pure plant ingredients. Everyone's skin is different and what suits one may not suit others. I was overjoyed in finding this site and will be interesting to follow developments in the rosacea field. Doctors don't seems to be very interested or concerned. Thanks for such a great site. I will be posting details of the DermaMed Rosaderm cream on the products list today.

Nessie,
Welcome to the rosacea forum and thanks for the intro. Sounds like you have gotten a handle on your rosacea. You may find some tips and advice that may interest you and help. Our rosacea search engine at the rosaceagroup.org is second to none. For instance you mentioned how a steroid thinned your skin in your teens and I entered 'steroids' and got this result >
