I've read Dr Nase's discussion on the macrolides in his book. Specifically there has been talk of both azithromycin and clarithromycin...but none about erythromycin.
Why?
I understand it's much cheaper than the other 2 drugs. Perhaps more side effects. It's been prescribed to me by 2 derms as the safest antibiotic to take while nursing.
