Clonidine

Hey Dr. N, I was going over your book last night (by the way, I like your photo when you have the mullet.) You mentioned that drugs like clonidine can help stop thermoregulatory flushing. Would these types of drugs be effective at reducing flushing during exersice or while in warm environments?

Hi.
my experience w/clonidine is that it is minimally effective at reducing heat/excersize flushing.
However, if you have trouble sleeping at night due to flushing, it will help you sleep because clonidine makes you zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Doesn't help me with exercise flush but does help with social flushing. In addition to the zzzz factor It makes my mouth really dry too.

I find it also helps with headaches. Anyone else had this experience?
