I don't know anything about this drug but just got prescribed it. Anything I should be aware of or worried about? I'm scared to start taking it because I have never heard anyone talk about this drug.

I found one medical reference in Dermatology Clinics in the "Pearls of wisdom" where one physician uses this for rosacea -- only for the inflammatory part.

My derm prescribed this drug years ago before I started taking Accutane. It did help some with the burning sensations that accompany my rosacea. I used this drug for almost 6 weeks. I discontinued this drug because of a side effect. This drug can cause pseudomembranous colitis (severe form of antibiotic-associated diarrhea). It was extremely painful!
