Hello Dr. Nase,

In your experience, do you know of anyone who has tested taking isotretinoin twice a day in smaller doses? Say 5 mg twice a day instead of 10 mg once a day. Perhaps this will help with adverse side effects? What is your opinion on this?

Regards,
George

Can others answer here?

Anyway, the half life of isotretinoin is 20-21 hours as far as I know, so it seems unlikely that dividing the doses would matter much.

Of course others can answer here. Please.

The half life is so long that I wold only take it once aday in the morning with food. Another benefit in that is sometimes even on low doses the initial blood spike can cause transient flushing and thus only taking it once a day would be the wisest thing.
