I went to Dr. Adrian today

http://www.lasersurgery.com/

I told him that he had gotten a good recommendation from Dr. Nase and I asked him about what treatment he would use for Rosacea. He told me ipl was not for rosacea. He said to go to a derm and get tetracyclin and metrogel for rosacea. I then said, isn't rosacea an underlying vascular disease and anti biotocs and topicals are just treating the symptoms.... the ipl is supposed to treat the underlying disease? He said he disagrees with that and said to take tetracyclin again. Now mind you, I had already filled out my medical background form for him and it cleary stated that I'm allergic to tetracyclin.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is, no chance I let him treat me. Any suggestions as to where else in the D.C. area I might go?

I was referred to a Dr. Karen Beasley by someone on the rosacea support board. He said she was ok and was helped by her. I havent called or visited with her yet. But if you would like to check her out she is at
The Maryland Laser Skin and Vein Institute. I Live outside of Philly and am also looking for a good doc around the Pa, MD, NJ areas.
