Hi all

Given:Dimethicone is recommended as soothing and protective for rosacea.

Dimethicone is non-soluble in water?

How can we use non-soluble lotions on our faces if we have to use a detergent based cleanser ( supposedly harsh on rosacea skin ie sulfates ) to remove it??

Are there any water soluble silicones?
or
Is there a sure fire way to remove silicones without using harsher cleansers?

Thanks
Linda

Was looking into the water soluble aspect of dimethicone and found this: PEG-12 DIMETHICONE Previously referred to as Dimethicone Copolyol. A very versatile, water soluble polyether modified silicone for use in skin and hair products.
