are dilated capillaries deeper in the epidermis? she uses the VL head on the Vasculight to zap the little red lines which are visible after she does my whole face with the SR head? Sorry, but I am still trying to understand.
Thanks
Have a relaxing weekend

For the vasculight that is the right approach. First skin rejuvenation with heat in the skin (which dilates the blood vessels) and then use the VL head to treat the superficial vessels.
However, you really need to use two machines. The IPL and vasculight or the V-beam and Vasculight. One machine has serious limitations.

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer.
When you say that I need 2 machines, IPL and Vasculight, can you tell me the name of an IPL device.
Sorry to be so dumb.

Hi Linda,
IPL just stands for all the different Photoderm machines.
Photoderm VL
Photoderm Quantum
Photoderm Lumenis One

Vasculight is useless?
Still here and I should be in bed sleeping.
Thanks

Linda,
Vasculight has its uses and so does photoderm. But the combination covers many variables rather than just one or the other.

Hi
Mind is clearer. It's AM here.
Is this correct?
1. Both the SR and VL heads on the Vasculight will only target the
superficial vessels
2. I would need for example the Photoderm VL for the deeper vessels.
3. Using the 570 or 590 VL filter on the Vasculight will still not reach the
deeper vessels.
As always your advice is most appreciated.

Hello Linda,
The SR head does not target blood vessels at all.
The Vasculight is a 1064 YAG laser. The photoderm is an intense pulsed light system for removal of blood vessels.
I would suggest off the cuff using the Photoderm VL first (which your doctor must have if they have vasculight) at 590 nm and 640 nm and then follow that with the 570 vasculight.
But...............if your doctor has no experience in performing more than one pass, please do not be the doctors first guinea pig.

Perhaps this is why my improvements concerning the superficial blood vessels have not been as good as the deeper ones.
Only time she used the YAG out of the three times was once around my nose as per my request.
Maybe its also because she does a triple pulse for the superficial pass too.
Ah so many thigns to run by my doc - not even certain she will take this into account as my doc likes to follow Bitter's protocol step for step.
Any suggestions?
