Group,
I am collecting catch phrases related to rosacea, symptoms and especially trigger avoidance for upcoming journal articles.
The best one I heard recently came from the ESFB board (I think Kelli?). She talked about avoiding triggers.
"Avoiding triggers is like trying to dodge raindrops in a monsoon"
I thought that was quite cute and realistic.
Please add to this thread if you have any sayings or thoughts on catch phrases. We were not blessed with an easy disorder or one that begs out for funding or compassion. Not a good combo.
You know the thing that really killed me was when I was in the moderate to severe stages, with horrible episodes followed by several hours each day of semi-normalcy. I would hide during the bad times and then come out as my extroverted self during the good times and my faculty members would end up seeing a six foot 185 pound strapping young lad for a couple hours and just assume that I was either lazy, enjoyed staying in 50 degree labs or who knows what else. That really stung. I know many of you can relate.
