I finally received a prescription of Accutane 10mg per day. I was taking Doxy 200mg per day with little to no results. I trying to balance the two...is Accutane at 10mg that much more potent or do they just work in completley different ways ??
My Derm actually told me that at this low dose of Accutane, I shouldn't be that concerned with sun exposure, taking a multi-vitamin w vitA or alcohol consumption....Of course all in moderation.

Serpico,
Even on 10 mgs I would not take any supplements with Vitamin A in them. I would find supplements with Beta carotene instead because this will just be removed from the body if the levels are high enough.
Accutane is soooo much better than doxycycline it isnt even close.

Thanks...I told my derm I was going to the tanning salon 1x per week and it was actually drying some of the oilyness and blending some of the redness in with a slight tan. He didn't think it would be a problem to still go with the low dose....unless I had a bad reaction at first.
I was tanning while on Doxy with no burning and i read that it's one of the worst when it comes to Photosensativity. I checked my Multi v(Gnc Brand) the Vit A is from Beta carotene 50%

I'd never tan again, i wonder if there's anything you can take to give you a permanent tan though?
Too much hassle applying fake tan all the time!
