My eyes have been bothering me a lot lately. I plan on getting glasses with tinted lenses, but I was wondering what products you guys use for your eyes?

I always feel like I'm squinting, or wiping at my eyes...

Thanks!

I'd recommend talking to your doc about oral antibiotics to help curb your ocular symptoms. They did wonders on my eyes. Before everyone thought I was always tired and/or high. Before antibio's I came across an OTC method that was somewhat helpful. Try using some Celluvisc Eye Drops. They are very thick and will blur your vision for a while but do an excellent job in hydrating your eyes. The only downside is that they can leave an oily film on your eyelids. You might also think about using compresses and eye washes to help remove any matter you may have on your eyelid margins. A warm (not hot) compresses and gentle cleaning of your eyes with baby shampoo should help to alleviate your symptoms.

I also think it might be a good idea to switch to a rotary head electric as opposed to a blade. I know the Mach 3 is a good razor, but blades tend to irritate the skin much more which can exacerbate your symptoms

Are you sure that your eyes aren't being bothered by your high dose accutane? Maybe you should talk to your dr. about dropping the dosage to a low dose regimen. Also, never take a tetracycline based medication with accutane. They are contra-indicated. Could cause severe headaches and from what I understand (someone else confirm) brain swelling.

Hope this helps,
Trey

Thanks guys! I'm going to bring up all of this stuff when I see the eye dr as well as my derm. :)

I'm definitely going to try an electric razor. Was thinking about the Braun Activator...I'm still not sure if I will like it. I like the light exfoliation from blade shaving and I need a close shave so I'm not sure if electric's will cut it, no pun intended. That said, I've never used one before...

Also, my bloodwork from Accutane is always fine and I had the problems with my eye before Accutane was in the picture. I would assume if I were to get headaches, it is more likely related to eye problems than Accutane. I've read about those particular side effects though.

A warm (not hot) compresses and gentle cleaning of your eyes with baby shampoo should help to alleviate your symptoms.

I did this last night, thanks! I'm seeing an eye dr about it but I did this last night and I felt a lot better. I'll probably do this every few days until I see the eye dr and he gives me more to help.

Thanks!
