Some interesting news from the Research and Development sector on this new topical that has some promise to it. Possibly the first topical to significantly decrease redness and possibly limit flushing without a rebound affect. I organized some more information:

I have sent Jim Fay an email and asked when this will hit the market, but he won't say much.
Do you got any information about that?
It seems to be a great product. 8)

Jim Fay has been inundated with emails and has stopped replying to most. He did not know what kind of stir this would make.
If they put it out as a cosmeceutical I believe it could be out in under 2 years.
If they go the FDA route tack on another 3 years, but that is my guest.
Since they are using an already known OTC substance that is slightly modified it is 'possible' that this may reach the fast-track lane and cut time estimates in half.
Cant say for sure yet.

Hello Dr. Nase,
I hope that once the SansRosa drug is finally released, it will be wildly successful - beyond their wildest dreams. I mean...folks that formerly never even thought about their red faces will become aware of their dissorder for the first time and the drug will be a huge surprise hit.
Other companies, bewildered by the success...will FINALLY notice the market value of a drug such as this...and either jump on the anti-rosacea bandwagon or speed up their own efforts to market a similiar drug.
This is my fantasy, anyway.
Is this, in your opinion, likely fact or fiction?
Thanks,
Perry
OMG this stuff would change my life so much as instead of avoiding things incase i flush, i can do exactly what i want knowing i have something that would (hopefully) cut the flush back pretty much immediately.
I just wonder, if they say that it would keep the skin red-free for around 24 hrs, could you see people using it as a day cream? I can imagine it being used as a preventative thing, almost like reassurance against flushing, and i wonder if that would be safe.
