I'm curious what you think about a possible supplement combo I've been meaning to get on. Source Naturals Proanidin and Eternal Skin. These two combined seem to cover most of the supplements we need. Is combining these two a good idea do you think?
And how about adding Boswellia to all this? I've heard very good things about Boswellia and would really like to give it a try.
Thanks!

Hi,
Could you list the ingredients in Skin Eternal?
I honestly dont know anything about Boswellia than what is reported on the Internet and thus cant make an educated guess at the exact properties it has. I will go to the Herbal PDR to try to track down studies on this vs. hype literature presented by the sellers.
I certainly have heard a lot of anecdotal good reports, but many of them were fleeting. I wonder how many still have reduced sebum secretion?

Hey Dr. Nase!
I'll do even better than that - I'll provide a link to Source Naturals own Skin Eternal page: http://www.sourcenaturals.com/products/GP1645.html
When it comes to Boswellia some members of a seb derm discussion group I'm in have had good results with it. Almost like a natural Accutane, without the side effects and maybe not so powerful, but still effective.

Good to hear about Boswellia. I will research that one as many are always on the lookout for a naturopathic approach first.
The ingredients for skin Eternal look great, but if you wanted to switch one supplement, I would swich to Z-BEC with zinc and your grape seed extract/pycnogenol because of their synergism and Z-BEC is very close to the prescription formula they give for skin disorders nicotinamide (sp? correct name).[/code]

Z-BEC contains Niacinamide 100 mg = Dr. Nase is this the dreaded Niacin that causes flushing?
Kel Niacinamide does not cause flushing or skin irritation.

So an ideal supplement combo that includes just about all the recommended stuff is Z-bec with zinc and Proanidin? I just started taking the eternal skin. Where is the z-bec sold? I didnt see it on vitaminlife.com. Someone needs to package all the recommended vitamins and oils in one box! lol. Would be alot easier.

Hi Ken...Yes, I've been thinking the same thing...combination of supplements, also which ones to stop before laser, which ones are good to start straight after laser etc. I usually stop all supplements 7 days before/after laser. I don't take antibiotics as derm said bad for my stomach. I take so many supplements, ayruvedic meds that I don't what's working, and what isn't. At moment I take...Imedeen skin(Microcrystalline cellulose, biomarine complex, maize starch, Vitamin c(ascorbic acid) calcium gluconate, zinc gluconate, silicon dioxide, magensium stearate), milk thistle, acidophilus, calcium with vit d, Alpha lipioc Acid..my skin loves this supplement but hurts stomach. Ayruvedic..drakshadi(for flushing), thripala(for cleansing), nimbapatradi(neem mixed with something else) also for skin. If anyone could advise me as to any other supplements I should add to this list, please feel free, also from the list above what supplements can I take post laser. Thanks Karen

Skin Eternal Plus looks interesting as well.
It does, but it also contains Niacin and Bioperine (Pepper Fruit Extract) which Dr. Nase recently warned us about, so I think the regular Skin Eternal is better, at least for us.
I've been using regular Skin Eternal, Pycnogeonol and Boswellia (all from Source Naturals) for little more than a week now and it could all be in my head but I think I do see a slight improvement, especially when it comes to my usual after work/evening-flush. It doesn't seem to last as long as it used to, and not so "intense".
To be continued...

Ive also been taking the eternal skin for the last couple of weeks along with gnc mega men multi. Ive noticed a slight improvement as well. I have the pycogenol and grape seed extract combo on hand as well..not sure if I should take all 3 together as that would yield 400mg of grape seed extract a day instead of 200..the source naturals skin eternal has 50 mg twice a day as does the pyc complex.

Ken,
I picked up Z-BEC at the local CVS - don't know if there are any in PA.

Thanks Kel, CVS is all around PA as well. I wasnt having much luck searching for zbec online..but it sure is at the local cvs. Ill switch to zbec when I run out of skin eternal. I believe the pycogenol and grape seed extract combo has definitely helped the condition of my skin as well.
I wonder if the Zbec would count as a multivitamin as well..I take GNC's Mega Men as a multivitamin at the moment.
