I realize you're a busy guy, but I never got around to asking this question on the yahoo group. Due to the fact that I live in Indianapolis, Dr. Finkelmeier seems like a good choice. After talking to him though, I felt a little uneasy. I'm not sure if he has a handle on rosacea. My case is fairly mild, but I'd still like to do 5 treatments. He says I need 2 to 3, tops. Also, I have some chronic pink/red colorng on my cheeks, bridge of my nose, and it's just starting on my chin. He doesn't want to treat my chin, I have a very thin goatee, and he doesn't want to burn the hair. I said I have absolutely no problem shaving it off, but he seems reluctant to treat any area my facial hair sprouts from. I'm 24, and my face was clear and smooth only 6 months ago. I don't want for it to get any worse, but I certainly can't afford to fly to Arizona or Oregon every 3 weeks to get treated.

So, sorry to ask you, but do you believe Dr. Finkelmeier knows what he's doing? I read continually that 5 treatments is the minimum, and that the whole flush zone should be treated. I don't mean to make any stink around particular physicians, especially with the issues on the other board, but these are things I was told by a physician that contradict what I've been reading.

Hi there,

I llive in LaPorte, Indiana. and have been in contact with this doctor's office. In fact I have an appointment with him on July 13th.
Thanks for the reply about Dr. Scheidler's office. I think I am going to cancel my appointment that is scheduled for June 28.
It is so hard to find a doctor who knows what he is doing and is up on the latest treatments.
I have seen Dr. Hwang in South Bend, Indiana. He has been good so far and I have gotten mixed results when talking with other people who have been treated by him.

Dr. Nase got treated by Dr. Finkelmeier so I assume he knows what he is doing??? I dont really know if you should treat the chin cause its not so much a problem for most - my beard area is not affected much by rosacea - it has actually healen with all the different anti-inflammatory drugs Ive been on
