Dear Dr Nase,
I live in West Palm Bch, Fl and there was recently an article about Avastin for Macular Degenration and how it substantially reduces the leakage from abnormal blood vessels in the eyes.
Do you think that this might also be of help for Ocular Rosacea?
The study was done by The University of Miami's Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
If you are inclined to respond to this please E-Mail me directly also as I'm still trying to figure out working with a Forum as I have never done so before.

From what I understand, it certainly could help. VEGF is involved in both facial and ocular symptoms and pathogenesis. Avastin is a potent inhibitor of this substance. They are now trying injections, but the main form of treatment is through IV. It is not yet approved by the FDA and would not want to be a guinea pig just yet. Keep us posted on this. Thanks for the heads up.
