My dermatologist recommended this. Has anyone used it? There is no ingredients list on the package and I could find nothing on the manufacturer's website. It's made by Schering Canada Inc.

The ingredients for COMPLEX 15 Therapeutic Moisturizing Face Cream are:

Water, Caprylic/CapricTriglyceride, Glycerin, Squalane, Glyceryl Stearate, Propylene Glycol, PEG-50 Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Glycol Stearate, Myristyl Myristate, Stearic Acid, Carbomer, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Diazolidinyl Urea, Lecithin, Sodium Hydroxide, C10-30 Cholesterol/Lanosterol Esters, BHT, Tetrasodium EDTA

I found it on drugstore.com Also, there is a lotion form of it. The ingredients for that one are:

Water, Caprylic/CapricTriglyceride, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate, Dimethicone, PEG-50 Stearate, Squalane, Cetyl Alcohol, Glycol Stearate, Myristyl Myristate, Stearic Acid, Lecithin, C10-30 Cholesterol/Lanosterol Esters, Diazolidinyl Urea, Carbomer, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Sodium Hydroxide, BHT, Tetrasodium EDTA

The cream is very gentle and absorbs quickly. I have not tried the lotion. Good stuff and rather cheap.

Goodluck,
Ray

Oh, I forgot to mention one thing. Don't be intimidated with some of the ingredients. Dr. Nase has said that the Cetyl Alcohol is pretty low in concentration so many people will not react to it. But, always listen to your skin.

The package says Complex 15 Daily Face Cream. I wonder if that's different?

Linda,

I tried this a few years ago. It caused me to break out.
For some reason, my skin hates squalane. I have assumed
it was that ingredient that gave me trouble.

It also contains dimethicone, which I read that you cannot
tolerate.

I was able to use it for a while (this was four or five years
ago before my seb derm got crazy), but then noticed enlarged
pores, redness, and papules forming.

Sorry to not have a better personal report.

Sorry about the dimethicone comment above,
Linda. I confused you with "Linda Lu", who
said she cannot tolerate the dimethicones.

Linda,

Me, too! My skin doesnt like Squalene. It increases my pap & caused me blemishes.

I used Complex 15 before. Initially, it was good and very moisturising. But then I noticed it made me flush badly at night (coz I used it at night).

I dont use it now.

I'm now using Physoigel Cream by Stiefel on & off with my Jojoba oil. It's not bad.

ccYcc,

I just looked up the ingredients for the Physiogel
Cream and it contains squalane, also. It is quite
far down the list of ingredients, so perhaps you
can tolerate it in this preparation?

I'm a bit nervous to try it. Just curious how
your skin does with it.

Thanks,
Beth

Hi
I could not use the complex 15 either. I don't have the label here, but I could not use the LRP toleriane fluid which I believe has squalene as the second ingredient. it only has 7, so one of them must be disagreeing with my skin. Or should I say, my skin is objecting to it. My skin is very difficult to get along with.

bethanne,

I think the trick is that for any kinds of cream based moisturiser, I dont use it continuously. I use cream/lotion only when I feel my skin is dry/taut/peels. My regular moisturiser is Cellex-C/Skinceuticals Hydra B5 gel and Jojoba oil and Skinceuticals Daily SPF20. They are gentle & effective.

I've just used the Physiogel last night and it didn't increase my redness/flushing. My skin looks pale this morning. Even the weather here is >31C, I didn't flush badly when I was waiting for a bus at 1.00pm!! (note: I've just completed my 5 IPL/PDL txs one week ago & I'm at the end of my period). I thinks they are factors as well!!
