Hi,

I'm placing this question in th newbie section since that is where it is probably most appropriate, although I've had this question for a while and never really found a good answer. Is it possible to having flaking with rosacea, and not have another co-occuring condition? I ask since I get inflammation (redness and puffiness) on my cheeks and around my eyes from time to time, and I will wake up the morning with it being reduced but there being flakes, sometimes ones that I am able to peel off. Is this just a result of the inflammation being reduced, or the sign of something else. I also have bad problems with oil (on my face and scalp) and dandruff on my scalp.

Thanks

sounds like you could also have seborrhoeic dermatitis.

Have you seen a physician? If so, what is the diagnosis. If not,
why have you not been to a physician?

I did see a derm, but she said she wasn't sure and thought it probably was just Rosacea. I didn't pursue it with her anymore because I realized it she wasn't going to be much help. I am thinking about seeing another dr., though, and if I do I'll post a follow-up

I tend to have flaky skin, as well. I always thought it was dry skin. I've heard lots of talk about this seborhic dermititis - what is it? What are the symptoms of it and how does it react with Rosacea?
