You can only edit posts before a reply has been made to it. This is a configuration setting that has recently been changed.

What's this new thing about telling when and how many times a post has been edited? I don't like that. Did you choose to do that, or is it part of the Forum package you are using? (I don't understand these things.) I am always editing; I was an English major! But now I will have to be sure I get everything right the first time, or else look like I am being punctilious, precise, painstaking, and persnickety.

OK, so I changed the punctuation on the above post (semi-colon instead of dashes). But nothing showed up about how I had edited the post. I have seen this remark about editing on some other people's posts. What's going on?

I think what Warren meant was that after someone had replied to your message, you are no longer allowed to edit your message. Sometimes people delete or edit part of their post after others have responded ..

Ah, gotcha.
So there wouldnt be a problem with minor edits - spelling / grammer etc?

I guess as long as you can edit it before someone else replies to you.

You know what would be easier - if I just put a little more attention into my posts!
