Increase in Papules - Post IPL Treatment

Hello Everyone,

I just finished my second IPL treatment six days ago. I noticed that my skin in somewhat more red and blotchy than before, but I also noticed a bad papule breakout. I was just wondering if anyone knew if this was normal or possibly a bad outcome.

Ijust had my forth yesterday and I have broken out worse today than I was before it. All along my chin where she went over it twice. Dunno if it's normal, though.

Hi Gina,

I had the exact same experience after my first IPL treatment. The papules went away after about two weeks, and I've read that its quite common. Give it atleast another week..

Im 1o days post IPl and it appears that my face has now got worse despite 4 days ago being better. I have red spots in areas where I did not have IPl and the redness just seems to have come back

My face always breaks out right after. It's how it looks 3/4 weeks later that is important.

I think it is normal. I usually break out promptly 7 days later for at least another 7 days.
