itching after IPL?

I can't tell if I'm itching because of the IPL or because of the metrogel. But, I can't stop trying to scratch my face today. I have make-up on, so I'm trying to be gentle, but it jsut keeps itching!

Is this normal?

i wouldn't wonder that much if you experience more sensitive skin post ipl treatment.

maybe itching sensation is caused due to metro or makeup, which might be harder to tolerate in this time?

when did you have ipl? how many weeks ago?

two days ago. Was my 4th treatment. I think it may be the metrogel irritating my skin. Think I may have to go over to either noritate or metrocream instead.

Hi Kelli, I itched like hell useing the gel so maybe it's that and as said maybe your extra sensitive at the moment.

Most likely the gel, makes me itch sometimes also.

I'm thinking it is the Metrogel. I think I'm going to switch to the noritate. It's a cream, and I never had an itching problem with the creams.

And the other one is called Clindagel. I'll post more about it in treatements.

I had my second IPL treatment 9 days ago, and my face is itchy in the treated areas. I think i'm going to call the derm today to see if that is normal.

Let me know what they say if you call. It's gotten better, but it's still a bit itchy in areas.
