Hi Group!
I know of one other poster who has this strange phenomenon.. just checking to see if anyone else has it happen to them.
Sometimes at the end of the day (or at the beginning like this morning while applying my make-up) I will get these tiny red spots on my face. When I touch them they smear- it is little drops of blood coming out. They are smaller than the head of a pin- but so odd!
My skin isnt overly dry- I have no idea what is going on. I thought maybe it was because of my 3 week stint on too high a dose of accutane... but the other person I know who this also happens to has never been on it.
Thoughts anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
Thanks!
Amanda
Now this isn't quite the same but if i carry shopping bags on my arm and then remove them after quite a while i get lots of the little dots you describe but not so much that the blood is at the surface and i can wip it away., Slowly they fade. I can also sometimes get them on my face around my eye and again they fade in a round a day/two days.
I too find this a little odd and assumed it was another example of my blood vessels/cappillaries being rubbish and weak.

I sometimes get dots like you describe on my face. I often notice them when i'm recovering from a bad flush. They normally take about 2-3 days to fade.

I very rarely get these dots on my face.
However, I have these red dots on my upper forearms for years. I asked my doctor about them many years ago and she just said "ooooohh, tiny little capillaries that have GONE WRONG!". Not exactly informative at the time....(just when I was beginning my rosacea journey...).
Since I've been taking 4000 mg Vit C (Ascorbic acid form) it seems to have kept the ones on my arms down in number......
As an aside, I personally cannot tolerate Ester C as it makes my rosacea worse. I find that regular Ascorbic Acid with bioflavinoids, rosehips and Hesperidin, reduces my flushing (by about 30 - 40%) and these red dots.

These sound like Petechiae - hermorrhages of capillaries in the skin. They look like little red freckles. I sometimes get them on my shins and chest and they once came up very badly when I was having a daily herbal drink for colon cleansing. I think I was allergic to the Pysillium. So watch out if you're taking anything like that.

no these is actual blood coming out of my skin. Not just rising to the surface or looking like a broken vessel. This is all of a sudden it bleeds a little bit. It is gone the very next day, but no rhyme or reason to when/why they appear...
