Hello guys. Back in 2003 or so, Curatek Pharm. started phase 3 clinical trials for a topical clonidine gel for diabetic neuropathy. I haven't heard anything about it since.
Earlier today I came accross this(look at page 15):
http://www.navigantconsulting.com/lifesciences/SMR/npain/npainSP.pdf

It says phase 3 c.trials and predicted launch: 2005!!! Don't know what to think because this is a sample report....hmmm. "Googleing", I couldn't find anything else...

Any more input on this?

Best wishes,

Adrian.

I searched similarly, just recently. No joy with topical clonidine. But, I thought this more promising ( but, alas, almost certainly, further down the line):

I thought that Dr Nase was promoting a clonidine cream compounded with other things. It was on the rosacea-support group a while back. He had arranged with a doctor who had the facility to compound it, but needed the participants in the experiment to get their doctor to write the prescription.

That was the problem, doctors did not want to write the script out for something they had no knowledge of. I was wanting to get involved in it, but Dr Nase said that anyone going through IPL could not participate.

I often wonder what happen to that experiment, and how far it went. It would have been GREAT for the rosacea patients who deal with angry-face syndrome and burning and stinging all the time.
